Station 2 Jesus takes up his Cross

It is never easy to accept the task of carrying ones cross, there are many allegories that can be made about this event and I believe Jesus teaching is not about the glory of suffering or martyrdom but humility, the giving up of our pride in relativism. There is far more subtle things happening in life that we do not understand and thinking we can protect ourselves from death or suffering, it is not something in our total control. Prayer and accepting that God is the master of destinies is one part of the answer but there are many stations of Cross.
Let us try and surrender our pride in security.
