Fr Norris reflection on fool for Christ

" We think it is a bit odd that no one met us. There is nothing for it but to leave the ship and fend for themselves . We know that Jim Doyle plays somewhere in Tokyo and thought we had better respond to him to determine what we were supposed to do . To keep the toolbar , we started to walk into the city . The streets have been deleted but the bombed buildings were in evidence everywhere . We are accosted and asked for a G.I. directions to the American camps . He kindly drove us in his jeep . " Here Fr Norris to Japan after the end of WWII . Like all missions , you have to be prepared for the mistakes and bad planning . You can bet that things will go wrong .

Fr Jim Norris Reflection on being a fool for Christs sake.

"Remember too that we are fools for Christ’s sake, be careful of this. Sometimes after making great sacrifices, such as leaving a country, home and friends for Christ’s work we slip up on the small things, such as a small clash of wills, you won’t give in. e.g. To a person you can’t get on too well with. The height of stupidity and indeed a sad thing." Fr Jim Norris. Here Fr Norris writes about the need for humility when building relationships with Jesus Christ and how force is a bad thing and damages friendships.

Fr Norris reflection on Sanctity

1st  Friday Retreat. Perfect Sanctity consists in doing the will of God. How necessary is punctuality then it shows that we care about God’s will and are really in earnest. Hic et nunc (This and now )is the Spirit. In study time, study-prayer at prayer time, play at playtime. Give your attention to your work. Jesus is your model - in his hidden life. His obedience, His humility- His spirit of work and prayer. Look over your rules. Every jot and title must be fulfilled. It is absolutely necessary for it is part of God’s will. It is your duty to give edification and necessary to maintain the high spirit of the house as regards duties. Fr Norris reflection.

You recognize your weakness, how faithless you are how helpless you become when Jesus leaves you for a moment. Now you must understand that nothing happens that is not good for your good. Try and see all trails in this light and anyway what a debt you owe the most Sacred Heart. Realize that you were born a child of the fall, therefore incapable of being saved. But you don’t realize fully enough the value of the Incarnation. As a result of this wonderful event and our Lords life and death you are able to become a child of God by Baptism, also the wonderful gift of faith. Although your soul was cleansed you are still prone to evil. Your nature had as it were a definite bias towards evil. Now as you grew older you forgot your dignity as a child of God and you squandered your inheritance, the beautiful gifts of Baptism by serious sin. Not only once but again and again. You can see that as a result of your evil nature and repeated habit of sin your correct view of things has been changed. Y

Christ made laws

Christ made laws for our own good and help. If you transgress that law it will break you eventually. e.g. Sin of impurity. Majority of people in asylums because of this vice, loose their memory and reasoning powers. Drunkenness you get cancer, drunkards, liver cancer and a number of other diseases. No sin is a small sin. Even if you could convert millions by one small lie you would not do it be cause it is so displeasing in the sight of God. Sin is the only evil in the world and the only thing that upsets God’s plan. Sin isn’t finished with after confession. You must do penance and prayer to root out the stain and make the soul normal again. e.g. Suppose a man put out his eye and asked the doctor to put it in again. You’d think he was mad. Moreover if the eye was fixed it would never be the same again. Very much weakened. And the soul is a much more delicate instrument than the eye. What would happen to you if you fell again after having had this wonderful opportunity of realizing the

The concerns are elaborate indeed and many faceted when the Church identifies the threat to Holy Matrimony and the family. It is good to note the concern for the whole family. II. The conjugal love that exists between married couples is important to counter the medical impersonal, un Godly way fertility is carried out. I.V.F. III.
